Don’t shower too long.
Water exposure can lead to dry skin and hair. Keep showers to five minutes or less.
Pat-dry. It is gentler for your skin.
How you dry off is just as important as how you bathe. To prevent dry skin from getting worse, pat down your skin with a towel.
Stay cool.
Hot water strips away natural oils and damages the skin faster, so stick to a lukewarm — or cooler — shower.
Moisturise.
Apply moisturizer right away, within two to three minutes of showering. Doing it quickly helps create a barrier to prevent transepidermal water loss and keep the skin plump.
Cleanse with care.
Use a moisturizing body wash to keep your skin healthy and hydrated, as traditional soap can strip the oil from your skin.
